I have to second that. I like jim beam, but very now and then I will do the Jack.

However, Glenlevit's 15 single malt is my number one.

My wife is from Macrahanish Scotland, born and raised there. she is still a green carder, only been here 45 years in April. no since in rushing anything. LOL
Soooo I have to do my part to keep the peace. Its a tough job but someone has to do it.

In this house Whiskey is Scotch, and bourbon is bourbon

when we have a wee dram it could be either one. we stock both.

it is all good.

The bottle I keep around for special occasions is generally from mainland Scotland (read: NOT Islay).

If I buy a bottle of American Bourbon, it's generally W.L. Weller. I just don't have the stomach for rye-based booze.

I have been a bourbon drinker in the past but currently I am on a dark rum (not spiced) kick. My current favorite is Richland Rum from a small GA distillery. Almost a bourbon style rum if that makes any sense.

I also enjoy the clear stuff in the mason jar from time to time. One of these days I am going to age some of that in a (small) wood barrel and see how it comes out.
