Jim you have one hell of a knife collection. They keep getting better and better. Do you ever display your collection for viewing at shows?

Being wheelchair bound now, I don't make the knife show circuit, but I am beginning to work on a book dealing with my collection. That is, if I can halt the acquisitions long enough!

Thanks for your kind words. From an ironwood lover and expert like you, I am flattered. Is this wood handle what we would term Ironwood Burl?

Ironwood burl, Jim? It looks more like maple or redwood burl to me. Are you sure it's ironwood?..."OR"...Are ya' just playin' with us. Whatever: It's "SWEEEET"!!

Cap,

I was in the construction business for over 40 years and I could barely tell pine from oak! If you say redwood or maple burl that's good enough for me.

Can anyone nail it down to one species?
