Coach,

I only owned one stainless Series 80 GC. Nice looking gun but it was not fitted very well. Slide to frame and barrel bushing fit was loose. It was better than a service model but not what I expected out of a match grade gun. From what I see lately Kimber is a better made gun.

Thanks guys. The Kimbers are nice.

If I could get the price right on the right Kimber, I could definitely do a Kimber.

I have been carrying and shooting 1911's for 50 yrs.
I have owned a lot.Stock,built etc.I am down to 8
and 7 of them are Kimbers.I think they have the best
factory built 1911's on the market. Not talking about custom
guns like,Ed Brown,Wilson,Chip McCormick etc.Good luck again.

Billy,

While I own a lot of Colt Sauer Rifles I have not owned a Colt 1911. Looked at many but thought the Kimber was much better workmanship and function.

Kimber Super Match II .45 ACP 5" Black & St. Stl. Rosewood Checkered Std. Sights

If anybody knows of someone who has a Stainless 1911 for sale, and they are going to the Tulsa Gun Show on April 6-7, let me know.

Kimber TLE, Colt Gold Cup, or Colt Competition preferred.

Thanks

Billy this Remington Rand came into my office last Thursday with five extra mags and an older Colt .22 Conversion Kit in the Box with instructions.
I bought it.
