I think this one fits.

I was texting with James one night and asked if he had ever made a subhilt.... here is the first. Mudbone leather.

Tune

Nasty and very cool. Thanks for the post. I'll follow up later with more James sub- hilts. Mud needs no introduction. We already know he's Bad-Azz

Very nice Warren. You have assembled a great collection of knives.

Here is something a bit different. These are real users. I met Shosui Takeda at blade Show years ago and began adding his bad ass kitchen knives to the herd. I have several. This is an older picture, but.... you get the idea.

Danm Tune, looking sharp.
You could probably filet a stamp with those.
And thanks for your comments.

Here's a pair that belongs in this thread hands down. Perhaps the best of my BMK collection both handled with a single piece of artifact fossil.
A Randall inspired Super Bear Bowie 11" blade paired with a Behring Made double edge 8" fighter; both in copper hilts.
Kenny Rowe Gator inlay Hi-Ride leather. Super Bear is set-up for left side cross draw. Asked for canteen snaps, no problem.
If you were at Blade this year you might have seen the pair. They are jaw droppers.
I will say that most of the original colors were preserved in shaping the handles.

Warren that is a fantastic pair with some of the best artifact fossil I have ever seen!! Kenny's sheaths with the Gator inlay are awesome.

Warren,

Here is my BMK Pair in St. Stl. hammer-marked and acid-etched with redwood burl hand checkered, engraved copper sub-hilts, fossil walrus bolster and butt cap spacers with Basketweave Rowe Sheaths.

The Goliath is one massive piece of hammer-marked stainless steel at 12" long; it dwarfs the SW Fighter

Tom,

Goliath is the right name for that blade. What a slayer and great pair of blades. Forgot you had those. Thanks for contributing to the thread.
