Well, it's the New Year, dark & rainy here, BUT, I'm trying to stick to new life plans (30-45 days ago) so out short hiking early this morning and got some pretty poor pics. However the camo is incredible, AND it'll be the last time I don't have my real camera with me, out & ready. Can you guys see it?? I'll post an easy to recognize & identify pic in a few hours.

Sorry for my crappy pics....but this guy is amazingly camo'ed. He flew in to my calls.....landed in trees 20 yards away. This is the real "Spotted Owl". The eyes really blow you away!

Nice to see you getting out, it is really neat to see owls. I have seen a few here, but usually they are too far away or moving too fast to get a photo

Thanks for the comments fellas'......& for brightening up those pics. Warren. I had my real camera with me this morning, AND,.....saw nothing worth photographing of course. I want to emphasize that when that guy turned those HUGE, black eyes on 'ya...WOW!
Getting out & walking, even if just a little, has put me back into writing down "DUKE'S WORDS OF WISDOM" (unfortunately for ya'll); all gained from living this long, all gained from experience (usually at the expense of good buddies) & all as serious-or not-as one wishes; & a couple are.........
--1)You can't kill nothing just laying in the bed.
--2)The woods is big.....ya' best go over that next ridge.
--3)The h*^€* with that sling (holster, etc) it's always best to keep ya' gun in your hand.
--4)"Screw the weather, opening day only comes on opening day"...after leading a day packing, sleep under a tarp expedition;1st day Flood of '85.
--5)Yeah, restlessness is my nemesis.
Good for now.
