You didn’t stray Ed…its about the leather. Here is the one that hooked me many years ago He never cut the V's in. I saw the way the V's were cut in on some tabs sticking out of a Bolin Saddle...thought it was a little better

the V cut ends look way better imo. btw, when I reverse engineered the deal in my mind, I didn't punch holes, I just made parallel slits. Worked on the thin stuff ok.

Quite true - but it's also advertising of a sort (not that you're exactly hurting for recognition these days ) - and a confirmation of your belief in the quality and integrity of your own work. Quote:

Ha! Tony, yours and Reese's work has done that to a lot of us here.
More than simply the thought that a maker *should* carry his own work, that it should mean that much to him - and possibly make him a better maker for experiencing his own work over time and use -- there is always the thought, in my mind anyway, that if the maker cannot make himself his own "dream knife" (or at least one he really enjoys carrying and using) - then how could he possibly make such a knife for *me*?
