Thanks Ram:
Ok crew. We have used up 2 options: Now we are building:
* Randall Model #7-5"
* #6 grind (option #1)
* Stainless steel (option #2)
I think we need to address the hilt, spacers, etc. along with handle material.We still have enough room to:
* Change the handle from leather to something else
* Change the brass hilt to nickel silver
* Change the spacers from red, white & blue to something else.
I want to hear your ideas. If we leave the hilt brass, we have more room to ammend other stuff. What say you?
Best, Capt. Chris

After seeing the pickle break down, the leather wrap is looking better and better. However a good Micarta would probably be nicer, perhaps the red and blue shop supplied . Leave the brass but make it square.

Keeping the brass is probably best since we only have 3 options left... And most likely thumb notches is gonna be a pretty smart option later, or not. But if so that's down to just 2 other options.

Well, all I'm sayin' is we need a wrist thong and thumb notches, so that leaves 1 more option for the handle. Isn't there a no charge spacer like all black?

No Mike, no charge for all black spacers.

Although I heard a pretty good Randall tale at the Shop Sale that has sort of turned me off all black spacers LOL

There is NOTHING wrong with the all black at all. Not in look or function. I just would not vote on them for pure personal preference is all.

As a young teenager, my first job was as a meat cutter. We weren't allowed to use leather or wood handled knives due to health concerns. For something that will be handled that is wet and coated in fish guts, I would prefer a micarta handle.

And when did red and blue micarta become a shop option?
