I only went back five pages but didn't see any Garcia threads. I have a survival Garcia from the late 60's or early 70's. People often ask me if its a Randall. I've heard them called a "poor man's Randall". I bought it new in about 1972 but I think it was old stock at the time.

Those knives are cool. I remember them and I should have bought one or two back when.
There are a few on ebay ...

Yeah!
I thought I read somewhere that these knives were made in different places by different companies at one time or another.
The true earlier ones are the more collectable, I think ?
I'm certainly no expert on these.

My knife is exactly like that one but my shealth is lighter in color and has an extension on the bottom with a hole and a leg strap.

I'll try to take a picture in the next few days. As you know knives aren't the easiest thing to photograph.

Hackman Finland made this knife first but stopped and the Garcia company took over the production. If you find the earlier hackman made survival knife it's much more valuable than the later.

Nice one Tom. And now I remember the prices the Finland Knives command!
