Hello guys,
do you know if there are better pics from Bo Randall's first knife, as shown here in the top right corner?
We know the Scagel that turned Bo in a knifemaker, but the first Randall I just know this tiny pic.

Thank you in advance
Nicolas

I really don't know a lot about the first Randall knives or the newer ones either, however, I thought the very first Randall knives were Springfield's. It looks like the stamp on the one in the photo above is Orlando Fla.

I am ready for a History lesson.

Springfields didn't come about until WWII.....1943/44.

There's a little history lesson in the RMK catalogue. Go to the RMK website, they'll send you one for free. Buy Bob Gaddis'book. Gotta have it.

Max the Springfield Made Knives were made by a man named Larson....from Springfield, Massachusetts. He contacted Randall after learning about Randall Knives and made a deal to make knives and pay Bo a commission. That was during the war. Bo was seriously restricted by the War Materials Board or some outfit like that, that regulated the use of materials used in the making of war products. He thought he could help Bo make more knives and thus get them to the soldiers quicker. If you go to Joe Dorsky's web site he has a great bit of info regarding the Springfield Knives and Bo's arrangement with Larson. It's a good read. Hope my little bit of info helps.
