Bernie,

Great grab! I saw that listing two days after you had bought it. The grind is identical to the knife that came up on the Nordic Knives website in June of 2006:






The only differences were (1) That one had two pins and (2) The accompanying sheath had metal snaps and oversized throat rivets indicating it was one of the first made post war. Of interest is the small stamp on your knife which I believe only lasted a month or so after the war on 6" Model 3's and 7" Model 3's & 4's. Given that metal snaps transitioned to translucents in June or July of '46, the "born on" date for your knife is pinned down pretty well.

Another case of Sherlock caliber sleuthing grin
