If I am not mistaken this was made around 1972 from a hacksaw blade and the handle is some local black walnut.

Here is another knife in the same genre that Kerry took pic of

It was made in 1972 from a industrial hacksaw blade, black walnut handle carved with a knife, aluminum guard, and a sheath made from parts of an old saddle. The knife is about 9" OAL.



Interesting connection of the handle shape....Both had to be made the same time

Which one came first is the question?

Although the tang is exposed, it's very cool how the handle doesn't have any pins and it's lasted on the knife for so long.
