Hey guys,

I received a Spyderco Worker for Christmas. They released 1500 units during a sprint run based on the 1981 design. I am very happy with the knife -- it carries well and is absolutely razor sharp. This is my first Spyderco and I am quickly becoming a fan.

Have a good week,

Jay

Hi Jay,

Great knife....I'm a big fan of Spydercos....if you're a connoisseur of the various types of steel used for knife making, Spyderco fits the ticket!

Cool knife, Jay. My father still has his original Worker from the early 80s. It has the "flat" stainless slabs before Spyderco eventually put a radius on the slab edges. I remember thinking, how long will it take to snap off that delicate point. It never happened. My dad used to show off the serrated edge by cutting beer cans in half.

Thank you for the comments guys. Tom, I wondered the same thing about the tip as it is really narrow. I'll definitely stop by the Spyderco table during the 2015 Blade show to check out their other models.

Sidenote, I really enjoy the firearm review videos that "Hickok45" puts on YouTube. Turns out his EDC knife is a Spyderco Delica 4.

Enjoy the day,

Jay

I really like the Civilian and Police models. Had these both @ 20 plus years!

Correction, Chris.

It's Sal Glesser, and the plant is in Golden, CO.

Sal also manufactures a line of trailerable sailboats, the Sage 15 & Sage 17, designed by Jerry Montgomery, who built the Montgomery 15 & 17.

His rust-free knives are a favorite with us sailors. He advertises his knives in Small Craft Advisor magazine.
