Ruana Knives is known for its line of Bowie knives. Many of them are made with thick 3/8" stock, and have parry strips. If you have one of their fine Bowie knives, this is where you can show it off.

Per my computer illiterate friend, I wont call you out by name Steve. I believe this is the picture he is referring to.

But I could be wrong, I dont have all these straight yet. If its the wrong one, inform me and I'll switch it!

Here is a new Ruana knife that doesn't fit into the regular categories. Since most all of my Ruana knives are non typical, I saw this and added it to my collection.
Here is their description:

Custom Survival / Combat Knife: This uniquely designed knife is an extra from a custom order that features a 4 3/4" handle made with a steel guard and butt cap that bookend comfortable black linen micarta. Additionally, there are 1/4" holes in the top and bottom of the guard and the handle is left with a sanded finish The blade 5 1/2" blade is made from 1/4" stock and has a slightly convex grind. This It is a one a kind knife with these exact specs. The knife comes with black Standard Bowie Sheath

Pretty nice I think

Peter

Great looking Ruana and something out-of-the-ordinary for the Ruana boys. A very cool and unique item. I take it that this one will be used only in an emergency. I still think you should order a "Smokejumper" in ironwood, a brass "parry strip" and wrist thong hole, and a flap sheath. Like this one.
