Hello all, I picked this up at a pawn shop and the knife has been cleaned but the sheath has not but still shows well with snake skin in the diamond cutouts. I can't find a McElou knife maker anywhere so here I am looking for help. I have tried to post a picture but there is a size limit so bear with me while I try to size some of these pictures down. Thanks in advance and God bless. r.cordell

Looks like a Chute style blade.

Do you have a photo looking down on the spine? Is it tapered?
No listing in Levine's guides and none on google search.
Don't know if it was hand forged or blade was sold and someone stamped and finished it with the handle.
Could be a hobby project someone did.

Warren and David,
Here are a few pictures of the spine. This has a false top edge but looks to be very well done/made. TC&GB, r.cordell

Thanks for the additional pics. Couldn't tell that the top ege wasn't sharpened. Also to David's point the tang is not tapered. Overall looks like it's well made. Hope you like and enjoy.
