Or, as we say in the Woods:

The Vineyard of the Hound Dogs.

300 Muscadine vines, all pruned, tied, fertilized, & ready for the 2020 crop!

Quite an accomplishment. Can't even imagine how much work that entails. Must be fun at the end.

It is fun doing it!

My Bride likes doing it too, so we work out there together.

The dogs running around playing with each other and occasionally treeing some varmit (mostly hogs) down in the woods.

Even the cats, all 7 follow us out there. Saturday, 5 were each on top of a post. I meant to take a picture, but I waited and they had come down.

Working out in the Vineyard is actually pretty good “therapy” !

Coach,

I will be sure to look for your label in the wine section. Labor of love. Good luck for the growing season.

Coach,
If you decide to make any jelly.I'll buy some from you.Haven't
had any in ages. When I was a kid my grandmother handed me a milk bucket and orders not to come back till it was full. That was a daily chore but I didn't complain!!!!

Hey Billy:

My Bride made over 250 jars of Muscadine and Scuppernong jelly this past year. She gave most all of it away for Christmas at school, church, up at the courthouse, etc.

We are hoping that the 2020 crop is even better. I’ll keep this thread updated as the year goes on. It’s a lot of fun foolin’ with.

My daddy Absolutely loved Muscadine jelly! My dad passed away in 2014 and that was one of his favorite. He loved it with the hulls in the the Jelly. Which is impossible to find. A lady that I work with found a recipe and made me a batch for him. I love it too. That's one of my favorites!!
