It is with great sadness that I report to all of you the passing of Hugh Wright. Hugh left this world on July 3rd, 2019 after complications from surgery a few months ago. He was 82 years of age.
Hugh worked at the Randall shop in the early 1960's until the late 1970's or early 80's. After he left the Randall shop, Hugh began forging and making fixed blade knives on his own out of his shop in Saint Cloud, Florida.
Hugh made excellent knives and sold them at a fair price. He was always willing and able to listen to your knife ideas and make you "what you wanted"! He was a good knifemaker, a good guy and my friend and I shall miss him.
Rest In Peace Hugh and on your final journey I bid you, "Fair Winds"
Respectfully submitted,
Captain Chris Stanaback

I really like the bow-tie splice in the wood base under the knife.

RIP Mr. Wright.

David, It keeps the checking of the wood from growing larger!

Hugh was always very nice
I have one of his Scagle lookin knives
I'm sad to hear this
Saw him at last months Orlando GS
We lift up his family in their loss
I met him Grandson twice
We rejoice in his rebirth and entrance to The Kingdom Forever
