Welp, this will be the first show without "old man Joe" tooling around on his scooter.

Word has it he handed operations off to his son over a year ago, so hopefully the show keeps impressing as it has in the past.

In my camp, I'm hitting the road in a couple of days to head that way. I'll be spending the night with the parents just across the border in Kansas.

Be sure and go by to see Buck Taylor at his booth. If you don't know him he played Newly in "Gunsmoke" and is the son of Dub Taylor who played in many movies. Buck has been in more movies that I can count as well. He is one great artist and a good guy. I have visited with him at the State Fair of Texas.
Btw, he took Burt Reynolds place as the blacksmith in Dodge City in "Gunsmoke".
Took Burt Reynolds place......nuff said.

My first return to the Tulsa Show since Covid started.
My neighbors covered my tables and report they did well
They are from Louisiana and sell a lot of firearms from their area.
Always interesting to see what they bring.
Seems like I always buy more knives and pistols then I trade or sell.
It is entertainment.
Always a couple of celebrities and sometimes fully costumed Mountain Men, Native Americans, and the occasional beauty queens.

Everyone needs to go at least once, but remember, as they post on their website
"If you spend the whole 18 hours we are open to the public and divide that by 4,200 tables, You will have 15.4 seconds to look at each table."

There were some certain interesting items found at the show and maybe even taken home with a certain someone.

Here's one:

and I managed to get out of there with one of these little darlings:

I traded a 10-3dp with bone linen micarta for it, essentially. Money and other items were involved in the transaction.
