In the Denver Post this morning:

"On Veterans Day, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service and its sister military retail operations will open their online store to all service members who received honorable discharges regardless of service time"

http://www.denverpost.com/2017/09/26...free-shopping/

Not real sure if tax free is the correct term.
Colorado requires Use Tax on any items purchased without taxes paid, but maybe the legislature exempts the Exchanges.
Will have to dust off the Honorable Discharge or DD-214 and see what gives.
Anyone participate in the test of the system?

You can pre-qualify via a website instead of dusting off the DD-214.

You have to enter your SSN, which is a little intimidating.

Not sure about online sales but in-store AAFES purchases have a "surcharge" which might as well be a tax. Not sure if it's the same rate everywhere but here at Ft Campbell it's about 5%.

Still good of AAFES to offer though..
