The last few years have not given me much time for fishing but I managed to take 4 days off to chase monster walleye. I arrived last Tuesday, around noon, to meet with my long time fishing buddy and we got on the water shortly after lunch. Waves that day were 4 to 5 footers but we managed a few hours in the afternoon to jig for males. Wednesday and Thursday were not much better, only allowing us a few hours of jigging in close but today the weather turned for the better. I have fished lake Erie for 23 years and my personal best was a 28" fish in 2008. Today I broke that mark 3 times. I boated a 29, 30.5 and 31.25 inch to top it off. The largest fish was near 10 lbs, post spawn. Great day on the wwater!

Proud of ya buddy. Great fish under tough conditions. Been there under severe conditions too. Sometimes it just happens you land some really big monsters. I fished for many years 70 miles off Long Island in the canyons; 100 fathom line. You wish it were better conditions, but when the reels start spinning you forget the 5-8 seas.
Good job man!
