Brown Micarta is, of course, an interesting material in the history of Randall knives, as the first micarta used, it came in different shades of brown, made in canvas and paper configurations, even sometimes layered to achieve a block big enough to produce a desired handle. Used ftom 1958 or 59 to 1964 or 65, it shows up in a timeframe that saw the introduction of Stainless Steel, or at least when the marking of stainless became the rule. So, low S and double S varieties are known to exist, and with this "double whammy" low S or SS knives with brown micarta handles can sport some pricey tags on dealer's sale tables. Anyway, here's the question. Has anyone ever seen, or heard of, a seperate S brown micarta knife? The timeframe seems to suggest it's possible, but I don't recall ever seeing one. Anybody else?
