Can someone enlighten me on Brown Micarta? I picked up a RMK 4-6 a while back on everyone's favorite auction site. It had some sharpening (amateur) so I sent it into the Shop to clean up the blade. Upon its return, I inspected it in great detail and found that the micarta appears to have been 4 or 5 slabs of brown micarta slabs glued together. I can tell because the grain of each slab goes in a different direction from the adjacent slab. Is this typical of all the brown micarta? a fake? popular or rare? I know I have not seen this on the other colors from the shop. I have tried to include a close-up photo but not sure how it will turn out. Thx, Brian
