My name is Tom and I am new to this forum. I have been a long time shooter/collector and always had a fondness for Randall knives and have been fortunate enough to acquire two Vietnam era 8" Randall's in the past few months. They are the Model 2 and Model 5. The Model 5 was shipped back in 1969 to a young man who was killed in combat a few months prior to his knife being delivered.
I have the original packing and shipping box.

Thank you gentlemen for the warm welcome, much appreciated!!

I am working on a repair to the missing snap on the dagger sheath....

U.S. Military weapons are among my interests and that includes web-gear, bayonets, etc.

I would like to someday own a WWII Randall Fighting knife to go with these fine blades.

Thanks Pap,

I see you are in Garden Valley, ID.......that is a beautiful area! Stayed there at a B&B about 10 years ago. As I recall there was an Elk farm/ranch just behind the B&B.

You are not far from McCall and New Meadows where I have hunted several times in the past. Nice country but getting overrun with folks escaping other states as is many places, including where I am at in Prescott, AZ.

My wife and I are planning to relocate to Salmon Idaho before the snow flies next year. Need a break from the crowds!!

Tom
We've lived here 20 years this past March, so were here when you stayed at your B&B. The elk farm is 2 miles up the Middle Fork Road from us.. Salmon is a very nice area as well. We like being close to Boise at our age, plus our kids live close as well. I bought my first Randall, a Model 1-6" in 1967,been hooked ever since. Keep in touch.

Pap
