It has been suggested that Heiser used only their Heiser logo stamp on other companies leather goods, so I wanted to see if that was accurate, and as it turns out, Heiser did in fact use other companies stamps on their leather goods as evidenced here.
If you have any pics or links that demonstrate that, post it for us. Its good to learn more about a company that had a long association with Randall, and made leather products for the old west as well. Great connection.

Sam,
I think that, while interesting, this topic should be discussed in another forum, as it probably will not demonstrate very much "Randall content".
Best, Capt. Chris

Capt Chris
I agree to a point with you, but in the ongoing Heiser vs Johnson research, one of your contentions was that you had not seen any evidence of Heiser ever using another companies stamp on their leather goods ( Heiser vs Johnson thread post# 110850) so as that statement was part of the discussion of Heiser and Johnson RMK sheaths, I thought it relevant for those who had not seen a Heiser leather product with another companies stamp either.
Just more of the ongoing education.

Sam,

Here's one. I can't pull the jpeg for the photo. Link

"Here is a neat old HEISER holster for a K frame, SMITH & WESSON revolver with barrels up to 5 inches. Interesting is the stamp on the back of the holster from MURTA APLLETON CO, which was a sporting goods dealer in Philadelphia in the 1920's."

One more...

"Evaluators, Ltd., was a gunshop near Quantico, VA, owned by retired USMC Gen. George Van Orden and his wife, Florence (Flora). They sold a lot of guns to federal agents and military personnel in the area, and were big S&W distributors. Flora Van Orden was related to the President of S&W. The shop is no longer in operation."

Very nice example Tom. Notice these holsters display the old style serif number stamps as well. Seems like they were very consistent with the number style stamp.
Nice find.

"Heiser model 1418 field type holster for the Colt Officers Model revolver with a 6" barrel. Excellent original condition with the Von Lengerke & Antoine logo stamped on the back over the Heiser model number. Brown enamel Heiser Denver snap..."

Interesting. I don't see a Heiser stamp, as I see on some of the other examples.
Again Tom, great find.

"Heiser made model 459 holster for a Chiefs Special. Greenblatt retailed other leather makers' products as well."

Apparently, the Charles Greenblatt Company was one of the largest distributors of Smith & Wesson firearms in the 40s and 50s.
