My new Randall made Tom Clinton special is here.
This is my first Randall to arrive. I do have a model 5-5" on order that I ordered directly from the shop back in 2008, I still have a couple years left on that one though.
This one has a stainless blade, nickle silver curved forward hilt, collar and butt. Gary also picked out the ironwood for the handle.

Welcome to the Forums.

The TC Special a great knife. Love the ironwood. You can't go wrong dealing with Gary.

Have you decided what your Model 5 will have on it?

Congratulations, and welcome!

I have a TCS with identical options that I got from Gary a year or so ago. It was originally ordered through his father, Tom, before he passed away.

Gary also picked out and supplied the Ironwood that was used.

I ordered the model 5 with a nickel silver hilt, black micarta single finger grip handle, and a wrist thong. I am planning on the knife being a user.

Believe it or not it was your knife picture on this forum that helped me decide on ordering the TC special, and with the options I did.
I think I may have even sent a copy of your picture to Gary as an example of what I was looking for (I hope you don't mind). I would love to learn the methods you are using for your pictures, every one of them is outstanding.

I wish I would have known about Gary and this forum when I ordered my first knife, he is really great to work with. I placed an order for a model 25-5 in nickel silver with Gary last week.

Of course, I do not mind. On the contrary, I am quite honored that the knife I ordered inspired your order.

I have a #2-8" with the same options (with the two lines of blade etching that I specified, it has seven chargeable options) due in later this year, which I ordered at the end of 2006. This order inspired my TCS shown above.

Though it may need an update or two, I have most of my photography tips here: http://lundestudio.com/phototips.html

Welcome
Great knife for your first Randall, and my favorite handle material too. Ironwood rules!
