Wouldn't this simply be Model 14 CDT with a different blade length?
Are there other differences?

The Model 12-9"-14 Grind Bowie can be fitted with the Model 25 handle configuration, whereas the Model 14 cannot.

As an experiment, Cap Stanaback ordered a Model 12-9" stainless, with a #14 grind, and had it fitted with a black micarta handle and Model 14 grips and wrist thong hole, turning it into a "Super Model 14" (Cut-down tang, of course). Maybe he still has the photo next to a regular Model 14.

Really neat idea.

The Model 12-9"-14 Grind Bowie can also be fitted with the Model 1 handle configuration.

I ordered a Model 12-9" stainless, with a #14 grind, and had it fitted with a stacked leather handle and Model #1 guard, turning it into a "Super Model 1" (Cut-down tang, of course).

I don’t have a photo of it next to a regular 14 but here is the 12/14 grind that Chris had made for me. I really like this knife.

No sir. That is a new Model 12 but I replaced the sheath with an older Johnson.

Just to show folks how small differences show up, here are three Model 12-9" Bowies. The middle one is a standard Model 12-9" in carbon steel, flanked by Model 12-9" #14 grind, SS Bowies, all with Model 25 handles.

The standard Model 12-9" has no choil by design. Notice that the the choil on the flanking models are different from each other. This illustrate the unique handmade craftsmanship of the Randall Shop, that they are not shaped with jigs or "cookie-cutters", but by the eye and hands of the crew member working the blade.
