I finally pulled the trigger and got my childhood dream knife. There is model 18 (7.5) in the mail for me and I have a quick question about sheaths. Mine is coming with a black one and I would really love the brown one. I know that I can get a sheath from the Randall store but that requires sending a knife in which I really don't want to do till winter as I'm out every week and plan to use the knife all the time. Any suggestions either on a replacement sheath or custom made? Can be preloaded as well.

And since this is my first post here. My name is Matt and I'm a LT with FDNY. I also vilunteer as a firefighter in my town in NJ. I spend a lot of time outdoors. In my spare time I make belt buckles and flags out of a firehose. I came here from Poland when I was 10 and why model 18? Well John Rambo that's why smile

Welcome and thanks for your service. I would contact Gary Randall and ask if he has one. He has helped me find sheaths in the past. Good Luck.

Contact Stikman on here for an extra sheath. If you don't care about having the Randall logo stamped on it (doesn't make the sheath perform any better) he can hook you up with something!

SJJP Knives on ebay sells Randall replacement sheaths supposedly made by Sullivans. I bought one recently and it seems to be good. I looked and they do have some model 18 sheaths listed.

Exactly what I was gonna say... If it's just a sheath to wear around he should be able to take care of you without the knife. The quality will be exactly the same, just no stamp. I would recommend getting it waxed personally, that's just me.

You can also give Gary Clinton a call, he has a few sheaths stashed here and there. He is a n authorized dealer so you can trust him to sell you true Randall sheaths. his # 815-282-1171 and email is clinton@msn.com

The only sheaths I have made up would require sending the knife as they all have RMK markings, I can make one but it would be several months.
Stikman

The sheaths from SJJP are made by us , but are not the same as RMK , a different leather and not as much finish as a standard RMK sheath.

I also have some Model C sheaths, in stock, but would require the knife.

Thanks everyone.

Capt you can disregard the email I've sent you yesterday than.

For now one of the members agreed to swap sheaths with me so I should be set for now.
