We were fortunate enough to have our Marine son home for Christmas this year. It's the first time in 6 years we've all been together. He deploys this Spring and beginning next month they will start a 5 week pre-deployment workup. So we were looking at my Randalls and while he was looking at my Model 23 in stainless with a stag handle he commented that the blade was the perfect size and when I told him it was stainless you could see he really liked it. What's a father to do? I said this knife is made to be used and handed it to him. He gave me a penny in return and said this would be with him when he deploys. If I get any pictures of him with the 23 on him I'll be sure to post them. So now he has a Model 1 and a Model 23. I think though that the Model 23 will get the most use, in fact I think it will be with him at all times.

Can hardly wait to see the pics!

Give him all of our best regards and please thank him for us for his service to our Country. I know the #23 will serve him well.
