In 1971 one of the Randall Dealers asked if RMK would make a display board replicating Page 18 of the Catalog. Starting with the 19th Printing of the catalog, RMK had included a picture of the different models they were offering with some of the options that were available. The display was completed in the shop in 1972 and shows 31 knives including the full carving set. There were a few changes to the handles as the knife options had changed from the first photograph to what was available in 1971 and 1972. For example, instead of Ivory handles, the shop used Delrin. All of the Stainless models are marked with a Separate S, some are marked with Lower S. The display came with correspondence between the dealer and the shop. The display was recently authenticated by Perry Miller. Some pictures of the display are here without the plexiglass cover and trim.

David,
Nice display! I remember Perry telling me something about flying up (somewhere?) to authenticate something that would have been a real pain to ship...I think I know what he was talkin' about. Pretty collectible piece (or pieces)!
Thanks for posting it, Capt. Chris

Dave

I too knew about this a Blade and had seen a picture. Congratulations on having one of the most unique pieces of Randall memorabilia.

I never seen, or heard of, so many RMK in one display. Excellent.

Very nice display. What are the dimensions of the display?
Also I am curious how they are attached and whether sheaths came with the display

Thanks for posting

I am glad to see you sharing that one David..... That was by far one of the coolest Blade Show finds I have ever witnessed.

Congrats,
