I never cared for the "cut-out thumb notched" knife blade design. Well: All of that has changed and it changed decades ago! I love 'em! Just as other folks have their "pet" model Randall knives, so do I...and The Alaskan Slinner is definately on my short list. I feel that the Model 11 is one of the most unique if not best skinning blades ever made. When you pick one up it becomes obvious. I had a dealer at the ECCKS tell me the same thing 2 weeks ago. Everyone is entitled to their own choices. That leaves more of those "ugly" knives for me! Best, Warren PS: I may have taken your comments out of context. Like I said no criticism.
