I would say STN, better to have 2 solid cutting surfaces, both for defensive AND survival situations.

And with a border patrol handle you can hold either edge up or down.

Never had any Randall saw teeth get hung up trying to cut, going in or coming out, on any soft tissue. I've also never wished for two sharp edges when trying to cut metal or wood. Have wished for saw teeth.
Just saying.

Great example Rocky. G-10 is "tough stuff" and would make for a bulletproof handle!
Best, Capt. Chris

OK Crew,
With the exception of a stainless blade, the possibilities for this "Bug-Out" RMK are endless and many have been mentioned (& some illustrated) here, thus far. So...Let's begin and move from tip to butt!
1st: Blade configuration...4 options
A) Standard blade shape (leave it alone)
B) Sawteeth
C) STN (Sawteeth grind, without the teeth)
D) TB (Top bevel sharpened)
There are advantages to all 4...BUT... that's not for me to decide...it's up to the Crew. I can tell you sawteeth, as far as personal defense, is the worst option but as a survivalist knife has merit.
How about a little discussion before I put this to a vote? If, in the course of this discussion, it becomes apparent of an obvious choice, we just might vote to carry on to the next segment of the build. Let's hear from you!
Thanks, Capt. Chris
