Looking good Coach!

I think most muscadine wines are sweet, but can be made in a dry style ... yes?

You are right!

But we have already been busy. I mowed and weed eated the whole vineyard yesterday. It was 100 degrees and 100% humidity.

My large carcass went through the 3 stages of melting: sweat, ammonia, then GREASE!

I consumed 10 1L bottles of water and that wasn’t enough as I drank 2 quarts of sweet milk with my supper.

Nothing more fun however than working outside like that on my own place!

You are correct!

Muscadine wine is not to my liking.

But I know a guy.... and Muscadine Brandy is a TREAT DEE-LUXX !!!

Man-O-Man! I am looking forward to a jar of that sweet jelly. Let me know when and how much and the $$ in the mail, Coach.
Your pictures remind me of my grandma’s vines & being told “don’t eat so many it’ll make your belly ache.” Never did. Only got a sip on special occasions of her gallon jugs of wine but sure ate tons of her jelly.

Coach,
You mentioned hogs before.

I hope that they don't destroy your vineyard.

One night's time there and they would uproot everything.

Wayne:

Ricky & Ruby are both over 100lbs now. They have done an excellent job of keeping the hogs away from the yard, vineyard, and peach orchard this year.

They do wake me up at all hours of the night but they get off the porch in a hurry and run them off.

Sometimes, I’ll get up and go outside and I can hear them barking way off in the distance.

The hogs usually head to the swamp in the creek bottom about a half mile away.

So far, so good!

Coach,
Glad to hear that Ricky & Ruby are doing a good job at repelling boarders.

I heard that a 45/70 works wonder too!!!
