I have tried, to no avail, to contact Rocky. (Rocky: If you're reading this...Call me, please)! The material shown in Rocky's photos is, according to Scott, "not" the AGM the shop used to supply.
...Don't shoot the messenger...and I'm sure it will work "but" (There you go again)...Ask Doug Bare about some of the material he bought and sent to me that was "supposed" to be one thing and it darkened red before we even built the knife.
If Rocky has had some RMKs made with this material and it it is still "gold", by all means if you want let's use it.
Just sayin'...You have until tomorrow evening to make your votes and express your opinons.

I've had this material for quite some time...more that 5 years...less than 10 years...I'm confident of that...I have no reason to believe it's not what it appears.....however it's also been in a drawer all this time....I did take it out after BLADE, as I found a fellow that would use it(2 pieces) to make me a knife...I wanted to be sure it would "hold color"....I have no reason to believe that it will not....BUT...I also remember the fast turning "AGM"...I've have a #10 that James re did for me that turned to dodo brown after about a year....as questions have been raised, I think that maybe this might not be the best choice at this time....if this stuff came from the same guy that sold me the material in this photo....then, there ya go!!
I simply do not remember...too many cocktails to remember...
the "lightness" of the 12 is due to it just being made by the shop...the others are/were older...they all match now

The AGM that Randall had purchased to my knowledge doesn't turn or fade...this was not like the Westinghouse Mic that would turn because of the light...it was not a great seller for Westinghouse so they chose to discontinue the material...if this is the material shown to me at Blade this year, it is not the same AGM that RMK used...now I'm not saying one way or the other whether this material should be used or not, I'm sure it would make a great looking handle!
