My thoughts would be a model 15 on my belt, and a Spyderco salt, fully serrated, clipped to my PDF. Best of both worlds, heavy duty fixed blade, and a serrated folder for rope, fishing line, and nylon strapping. Don't forget to get the waxed sheath.

I was thinking along the lines, similar to our "Rafting Build" we did a few years back. Freshwater/Mountain Kayaking might require a more "versatile knife", like cutting up crap if you're stranded, etc... Just sayin', Capt. Chris PS: 4 finger grip, single finger grip are "not" available on a CC/FT CCS
Capt.,
Two questions:
First, if I go with the CC without the FT, can I get either the 4 finger grip or the single finger grip handle on it?
Second,
Is the Model 5 with sawteeth (The Bear Camp special) still available and can that be fitted with either the 4 finger grip or single finger grip handle?

Bearcamps? No. 4 finger grip, single finger grip on a CC? Yep! You can also add a butt cap, giving you full tang construction. ...Just sayin', Capt. Chris

Capt.,
Thanks for the info. Now it’s a toss up between a Model 15 or the CC with the single finger grip and butt cap!
I’ll send you an email about what the cost of each knife would end up running…
