Jim,

Years ago was cleaning out the contents of my parents house and came accross a bottle of Wray & Nephew white overproof rum. OMG that stuff was jet fuel. Just the smell of it was awful.
Nassau Royale was one I think we had at one tome for Island cocktails. Haven't seen it in years.

I'll have to keep an eye out for that one. Thanks Warren.

I have but not tried it. A colleague of mine has and speaks highly of the brand. It's not on my "to get" list just yet.

This must have been a swanky event. In any event an interesting read on Van Winkle.

Thanks, Warren. I bought a bottle last year. Haven't opened it yet--waiting for a really important occasion. Meanwhile, am drinking Woodford Reserve.

If you ever make it to Ky, give your self a couple of days to do the Bourbon Trail. “http://kybourbontrail.com”
The distilleries have spent a lot of money on there welcome centers and would love for you to stop by and sample there whiskey.
If you like aged Rum try Hartfield & Co. It’s made in of all places Bourbon county Kentucky. It’s aged for three months in used Bourbon barrels.
Jack Daniel's is not a bourbon - it's a Tennessee Whiskey
