I found this in some video I shot in a "junkyard" at Camp Cooke, in Taji, Iraq, in the winter of 2004. Randalls are everywhere!

Max, If you call it "fortunate" to visit 18 different forward operating bases multiple times that tour I'll say I bought a few trinkets. A couple of car tags, bayonets, the usual, but I also came away with two coasters made by Christofle, engraved with the Ba'ath party seal, and two China plates made by Noritake also gilded with the Ba'ath seal. One of my favorite souvenirs is an exploded 25mm shell that was fired air to ground on the highway of death... I just kicked it up out of the sand while my team and I were snooping in the remains of it.

Wally thanks for the video. I don't think I ever went to Warhorse. anyway I don't remember it. that is a hell of a bone yard. I was responsible for all the Hospitals/medical unit in the 3 BCT. I was the Resident Engineer for the 3 BCT, with the 1st Cal, 7th Engineers. So I didn't work at any FOB's outside of my BCT. Thanks Brother, max

Wally,do you remember the first time you flew into BIAP? I do, came in on a RAF transport. We had just left My Kuwait, got of the plane at midnight and it was 110 degrees. I was sure I was in Hell

My first landing was at KCIA, mid-day on September 21, 2004. I thought someone was holding a hairdryer right in my face, and I thought there is no way I'll make it a year here.
