I obtained a Model 22 and I was considering doing a catch and release. However I gave it some thought and I think it might be a keeper. Certainly not the most aesthetically pleasing knife but it feels good in the hand and is loaded with features. I’ve heard the shop has a “special” name for it but I don’t know what it is.
Anyway any thoughts on the knife or another Randall people think is underrated?

Jon,
It's called The Outdoorsman, rightly so. I've had several over the years and it's a really great blade combined with ALOT of included options. Probably the best overall value in a field knife Randall offers. Visit the "Knife of the week" thread under Randall Knives for some discussion and excellent examples. Good luck!
I know the model is called the Outdoorsman but Capt Chris mentioned that the guys in the shop used to refer to it by some other name. He didn't mention what it was though.
