That #3 with a 6 grind would be a heck of a slicer. If you just used it on animals and perhaps very soft wood from time to time it would be the way to go!

I always thought that a Model 3-6" with a #6 grind, would be a top hunting knife. I have the 9" Model 6 and use it for all my large cuts, so the 6" version would be perfect for most game applications. Expect my order pretty soon. Now if it was available with a pouch sheath.....

Of course, the best pouch sheath maker for a Randall, would be from the current Randall sheath maker. That being said, there are a number of prominent makers that could do a good job. If the knife is a user, the sheath is unimportant as a collectable so all depends on your personal desires. Pap

Chief that's in my opinion a perfect setup. Stunning in appearance but also 100% ready to go to work. I"m still amazed how versatile the #3 is. I'm considering a similar setup on a Model 4,but this knife may have changed my mind.
