Hello again, it has been awhile since my last entry here. But I have taken another Randall lookalike project which I would like to share with you.

This time it is a model 11 Alaskan skinner. I have filed and hardened the blade out of a 3/16" piece of Niolox steel, just like the model 23.

Picture below shows all the parts at the start of the assembly work. Blade still has its heat treat colour. It will get a India sambar stag handle, aluminum/black spacers and nickel silver guard and butt cap.

Cleaned the blade, drilled and filed the guard, epoxied the spacers together, so it will be easier putting these in during final assembly. Drilled and tapped the stainless steel rod that keeps it all together later on.

Soldered the nickel silver guard with 4% silver solder. Still have to clean the joint up.

Threaded tang TIG welded on and solder joint cleaned up.
