I picked this 25-5 up locally a few days ago. I really like the scrimshaw but am at a loss as to who may have done the work. Anyone recognize the signature?

I believe Miles had a knife with the same scrimsander's signature on it. Here it is!

Very good work!!! Great find, whoever he is he does good work.
You should ask the scrimshanders at blade. I mentioned Rick Fields to one of them at blade and they new right off who I was talking about.

Chief,
If you have any scrims by Rick Fields other than the Franklin Mint series, please post them. He is one of the best along with Garbo!

Bill - As it happens, I bought that knife from Miles. One of my uncles was a Navy pilot in WWII, so it struck a cord with me.

Tom - I have that Scrimshaw Studio site bookmarked and looked at it when I bought the Blue Angels knife. It could be Jim Stevens' signature, but I really don't think so. The mark on both knives looks more like a "fouled anchor" to me. It looks like initials "T" and "S" with the anchor. I will see Sandra Brady at the Ohio Gun Collector's Association show in Wilmington, Ohio this weekend and will show her these knives and see what she thinks. And I will take them to Blade.
Thanks for your comments, gents.

I almost bought that Blue Angels knife at the same time that I bought the Rick Bowles # 020......

If you ever decide to sell it, let me know first!

Did you ever find who's scrim it was?
As I now own a Mountain man scrim that would go with it.
Has the same symbol.
