This knife is the only one known to have a supplied sheath that I believe was made by Jimmy Stockman for Randall. Knife is from the collection of the late Rhett Stidham. That is a fascinating knife and story. I found out the hard way how effective a Randall is at cutting tendons. 1st) break the cardinal rule of knife safety, 2) use wrong tool for the job = a half severed index finger cut clean thru the tendons just above knuckle.
No problem posting it. In the third paragraph, Rhett mentions the photo of Steve Alexander holding the knife in Knives '88. Steve is my old friend and the person that introduced me to RMKs in the mid 80s. Small world.
Thank you for the article. I have actually held the knife. Someone I know at Blade had it for sale last year or the year before, can't remember which. To say it is a hefty knife is an understatement.
