I have a few primers for a caliber that I no longer load and want to send them to a friend that can use them. Does anyone know if there are restrictions for sending them USPS, UPS, or FEDEX?

Tom,
No restrictions on sending primers via UPS or FedEx,not too sure about the USPS.

USPS does not allow any kind of potential explosives and the includes primers.

Thanks. Are there any disclosures involved when sending the package?

Both UPS and FedEx ask what is in the package and some will want to see the items. Ammo is totally different and a normal citizen can not ship ammo. I have a guide friend in Alaska that was low on '06 ammo and I couldn't send him any.

If they ask what is in the package, you can say "components" and basically be within the law.

USP will charge an additional $25. for hazardous material which includes primers.

Thanks. I will have to re-think this.

For me, the .30-06 is my favorite. Mine is a Remington 700 LSS with a laminated stock and a left handed bolt:

The last deer I got was with a Remington 788 in .243 during a cull hunt at a friend's ranch in Texas:

I've done some hog hunting in Texas and for that, I used my Marlin .45-70:
