I was very fortunate to buy the knife from Bill Ruple at Blade. A real gentleman.

Very nice, Rod.

I’m not familiar with him but I will study up on him.

CPM 154 blade, Rockwell hardness 60. Bill jigged the scales. The knife has red liners.
4 1/4” closed, 7 3/8” open.

Thank you Michael. It was your suggestions that helped get the knife. As nice as the knife is, talking with Bill was just as rewarding as he was very informative and enlightening.
It won’t be my last Ruple.

I first met Bill Ruple around 1993 (or so) at The Knifemakers Guild Show, held at The Marriot World Center, just outside Disney World. A truly great guy and fabulous knifemaker! He has just been voted into The Blade Show Knifemakers ring of honor! (I think that's what it's called at this year's Blade Show!
Goos Get Rod.
Stay Sharp, Capt. Chris

Thank you Peter. I met Bill Ruple once, years ago, but never got round to buying one of his knives. That one I bought will not be my last.

It was such a good time seeing everyone after so many years. And those Model 5’s just came running to me, begging me to bring them to our house,ha.

I was really impressed with the RKCC displays. There was a ton of work and organizing went into them.

I saw where Bill was inducted into the Knife Maker's Guild hall of fame for his innovations on slipjoint knives at the Blade Show.

That Cover is a beauty! Every time I saw you were working; guess you snuck away and were buying up the good stuff. Great to see you at the show, always a pleasure speaking with you.

Michael and Tom

Thank you for your kind words. Although I did get all the knives, that I have posted on this Forum, at Blade, some were bought before Blade and delivered to me there.
I have many good friends who find knives for me and when the US/Canada border was closed, kept them for me. I thank everyone of them.
I also had one RMK, not shown, sit in my USA PO Box for two years, when the border was closed. Talk about trying to have patience!

Thank you Wally. I always feel I am the winner at Blade. I usually come away with something that is a treasure to me.
Then add on to that, seeing old friends and meeting new friends. Can’t help but feel like you are on the top step.
