First off, Thanks to the Captain for doing this series of knives.

The Model #4 is my favorite of the "Outdoorsmen" type knives.

I already have a #4-6" Leather handle knife so the Stag version
with the carbon blade will be a perfect fit for my collection.

From Capt's post:

#4 in the catalog series.
Here is what we have so far:

Model #4-6"
Carbon steel
Brass single hilt
Red, white & blue spacers
Stag handle
Finger grips (RH or LH)
Wrist thong
Waxed (no hone) sheath.

I will USE this knife for EVERYTHING! (:>)

Thanks again to everyone.

Tom...and everyone else:
It's good to hear someone is going to actually "use" one of these knives. The whole idea of the "Starter Set" was to build each and every Randall model, one at a time and in order. None are supposed to be totally "tricked-out" with options. They will all be excellent examples of the model and a great place to "start" a Randall collection. They will "also" be a great knife to "use"!
Glad you like the idea, Capt. Chris

Tried to reach you a couple of times, Capt, to discuss the payment arrangements and the timeline for receiving the knife.

Will keep trying!

Tom,

Cap is in the Bama' woods, or was earlier this week. Probably will be back soon, I don't think he cares for the weekend warriors eek

Tom,
I left a return message but I'll list the particulars here as well. Mike is correct: I've been at the huntin' camp and am now back in Ocala until Sunday A.M. (when I head back to Bama). You or any one else needing to send deposits ($50 for 100% Randall shop-supplied materials / $100 for Cap's materials) can do so with any of my contact information below. I'll be out of the woods and back in Florida to attend the Gator Cutlery Show in Lakeland, Fl. on Feb. 4-5.
Thanks, Capt. Chris

Deposit for $100 (Cap's materials) will go out this week-end to the address supplied in the previous post. Thanks again.

(Just wondering,) what do you think the delivery date will be on one of these "Starter Set" knives?) You can pm me with the numbers of you want. I would like a Right Hand Finger Groove configuration. You asked that question earlier.
