With hunting season upon us I thought I'd post some pics of a plant that's popular with whitetail deer. This is strawberry bush (Euonymus americanus), aka bursting hearts, hearts-a-bustin, etc. It's found from Texas to Florida to New York. According to the plants.usda.gov website, "Strawberry bush may be considered an important indicator of deer presence because it virtually disappears in areas overstocked with deer."

Speaking of hunting, I came across these old 30-06 and 35 Rem cases. And I'll add a photo of my knife and sheath, just because.
