We got out today since the wind had died down and it wasn't nearly as cold as earlier in the week. There was some snow at the higher elevations but not much. Once we get some more snow, I wont be able to get to most of the trailheads due to ice on the state forest roads. We kicked out two grouse and saw a lot of deer tracks too.

Funny...I don't see those puppies wading the streams as in earlier posts. I guess they really are smart! BURRRRRRRRRR...

Nice shots Peter!
It's been a while since I've been "out". Maybe soon.
Thanks for posting.

I went out on another hike before New Years and the weather was pretty nice and it was still possible to get to the trailhead, since we have had little snow so far this year.
Final photo shows dogs after hiking and dinner.

It was a warm day for March in central PA so the boys and I went out for a hike. Conditions were widely varying, from water running down the trail, to the remnants of big snow drifts, depending where we were. It was good to get out and be in the sun and fresh air and hopefully spring will be here before too long
Bad news was ticks were active already.
Peter

Very nice Peter. I'll bet it felt good to get out and go for a nice hike.

We leave today on a 6 week journey from Utah to North Florida with stop-overs along the way. I will be pulling our 30' Airstream for it's longest trip of it's life. I'll post a few pictures as we travel.
