I greatly enjoy hiking and outdoor photography and am glad that others enjoy my trip descriptions and pictures.
I was surprised how few leaves were left in Quehanna as we have plenty of leave in the state forest that is local. I think that the higher elevation and more northern location is the reason that most of those leaves were gone already.
I am sure that PA has plenty of ugly areas, but I avoid them most of the time. I spent most of today raking leaves in my yard, mostly from cherry trees. The oaks and maples haven't turned yet.
