If you don't have one, I'd suggest a Bond Arms derringer with the .45/410 barrel and pack a few .410 shot shells and 000 buck shot. The shot shells for snakes and the buckshot for anything else. That's mostly what I pack anymore. Easy to conceal and Bond has many different caliber/barrel choices. Your #28 should be a great choice and a Leatherman is always in order.
