These are from an recent hike on the Midstate trail here in central PA. Trees are just starting to bud, but unfortunately the ticks are out already

Peter,
NICE SHOTS! Nothing like an early spring hike!
Couple of nice hiking companions too!
Thanks for sharing.

Here are some pictures from a hike yesterday. Things are pretty green and there were some stream crossings. The boys like the water. The mountain laurel was flowering nicely and I took my new orange G10 Model 15 out for it's first hike, see knife of the week for better picture

I took the boys for another hike today, the first picture is mountain laurel which is near the end of blooming and the blueberries are just starting to appear. We stopped to eat a few, My dog Randall eats them, but my other dog Riggs doesn't eat them.

Hi Tony
Any day out with the boys is great. Weather was cool for July and no bugs either. The Midstate is very rocky in sections

I was out for another hike on Sunday, lots of blueberries to be had. Part of this hike is on a ridge that had a fire a few years back and it is starting to grow back. The blueberries are great here because of the fire, they cover is gone and they get more sun. We kicked out at least 4 deer at least one a buck in velvet. We are having unusually pleasant weather for July, not too hot and low humidity.
My mountain bike ride Saturday was similarly nice and I kicked out two jakes.
