I would like to share some fishing pictures that were took during a trip to Alaska. This particular summer was 2005 and the weather was perfect. I was able to do several types of fishing that year. I have a old army buddy that lives in Anchorage and is kind enought to let me come and fish when ever possible. For all you guy's that like wildlife and the good old outdoors, you must plan a trip to Alaska if you have not been. My last trip was in 2007 and plan to return this July, 2011. In one of the pictures you can see a Griz on the other side of the bank. I hope one day to make a trip for hiking some of the trails that they offer before I get to old.

Outstanding Jimmy! I have been to Aniak, Ak. twice! Once for fishing only and once to shoot birds and fish. I have a buddy there also. Butch Albertson. Actually his father, Lamont, and I guided Loxahatchee Federal for years together. Great memories...both folks and all of the fishing. I have lost contact with both of them. I fear Lamont has passed and Butch has moved...Oh well: It's great to see your photos and remind me of those times. Where, outside of Anchorage, were you?
Best, Capt. Chris

The pictures of the reds were caught on the Kenia outside of Saldotna. The bear picture was takin on the Russian not to far from Anchorage. The Grayling's were caught somewhere up north around Denali. I have some halibot pictures somewhere that we caught in Homer. I will post them if found.

Excellent pics from what had to be an awesome trip. Thanks for sharing these Jimmy.

Many years ago I had a good friend and all we talked about was going fishin' in Alaska. We did a lot of talking for about 6 years until I moved to another part of the country. Then several years later I got a call from the guy. He had just found out that all the time we were talking about Alaska his best friend from High School was (insert drum roll here)... working as a bush pilot in Alaska. (Who knew ?). Talk about a missed opportunity...

Anyway I'm glad to see you got there and had a great experience. Like Tony, I'm still hoping to get up there "one of these days".
