Interesting. I do alot of erosion control/prevention and I had not seen this type of tube protection devices before. It would appear that they would keep the deer away but as soon as the tips of the vegetation appear above the tubes, the deer would eat them off. I much prefer to use an established "root ball" installed and then you don't have to worry much about the deer eating so much that the plant dies. Anyway, thanks for the pics and response.
